We Asked, You Answered: COC Playlist Edition

This week on Instagram, we asked you for song requests to put on our official COC playlist... and boy did you deliver. With everything from ABBA to Mac Miller, this collection of songs is a beautiful mess that represents the best of the best of our COC crowd. So come along, put some headphones on, and read below for some honourable mentions.

Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting) - Elton John

Most of our events happen on Sundays, but hey, Saturdays are great too.

Mr. Brightside – The Killers

It's not a party without Mr. Brightside. Next!

New York, New York – Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett

This smooth classic has a place on every playlist, even for a club that has nothing to do with New York. Maybe this is a sign we should head to the Adirondaks for our next hike.

To The Mountains – Lizzy McAlpine

We love a thematic tune!

Woodland – The Paper Kites

Picture it: it's 2013. You're in a car driving down the highway and this song comes on the radio. The sun is shining. The air is fresh. Trump hasn't even considered running for president yet. Life is good.

Take My Breath – The Weeknd

Our Clubs Coordinator Vitalia wanted to include this song because hikes take her breath away (literally and figuratively!) 💪

TiK ToK – Kesha

It's hard to wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy when your alarm is set for 6am for a hike, but the thought is there.

Send Me On My Way – Rusted Root

If there's any song to listen to when you're on a bus, this is the one!

Take Me Home, Country Roads – John Denver

Somewhere, at any given time, there is a man with a beard playing guitar and singing this song around a campfire. And don't you want to be there too?

Thanks for reading this week's post! Stay tuned on our Facebook and Instagram for more hiking guides, outdoorsy tips, and community events. Until then, you have 100 songs to pass the time! 🎶
